The Teddy Fund is a non profit organization that helps pay medical bills for families who have children with brain related injuries.

Our Founding Cause...

Teddy Parrilla was born on October 20, 1988, in Holbrook, New York. His parents, Anthony and Stacey Parrilla, were delighted as they brought a beautiful baby boy into the world. They couldn't be happier with their new son, and everything appeared normal.

Unfortunately, when Teddy was only 18 months old, he was losing control of his eyes. Doctors examined him and the devastating diagnosis for the little guy was Astrocytoma, a brain tumor that had been growing since birth. Astrocytoma is the most common type of primary brain tumor, also found throughout the central nervous system.

Teddy lived with the tumor, and endured many surgeries to remove it in his short life until passing in 2006 at the age of 17. Why are we asking for your support and donations today? Teddy Parrilla was our founding cause and since his passing in 2006, The Teddy Fund has taken up the cause of other children with Astrocytoma.

Teddy Parrilla gave us inspiration in the face of his own uncertain future, through pain and dibilitating periods of recovery from a lifetime of harrowing surgeries. He will always be our shining example of courage and hope.
